I know a guy who used to live in Collonges-sous-Salève, right across the border from Geneva. Some friends and I went there a couple times and met up with him to ski. I only spent a couple nights at his home, and never actually did anything in Geneva other than go to and from the airport. We spent most of our time in the ski resorts in Chamonix and other places. Very beautiful country.

For work I buy some supplies from a company in Lausanne, about halfway across the north shore of Lac Léman. I learned that you never call it Lake Geneva from dealing with my contact.

Yah everyone refers to it as Lac Léman over there.
